Vietnam & Cambodia Itinerary

11 Days

Day 1

ARRIVE at HANOI

Your flight lands at Hanoi. You’ll be greeted after custom clearance.

The tour will start with a visit to the Museum of Ethnology or to the Vietnamese Women’s Museum.

Continue to Hoan Kiem Lake which contains an islet with the tiny Tortoise Pagoda. From there, venture on to explore the Old Quarter, a fascinating area to explore local life.

Day 2

HANOI

Explore the city by walking. Visit the Temple of Literature with peaceful series of walled courtyards and graceful gateways.

Explore the Ho Chi Minh Memorial Complex with a stroll past the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum which contains the embalmed body of Ho Chi Minh. View the outside of the Presidential Palace and walk through the park to the Ho Chi Minh Stilt House where Ho Chi Minh lived until 1969.

Continue to the One Pillar Pagoda which was rebuilt in 1954. Afterwards, drive to Halong Bay.

Day 3

HALONG > HANOI > DANANG > HOI AN

In the morning, board the day cruise and sail between the incredible limestone karsts of Halong Bay.

After lunch, paddle through islets: Stone Dong, Incense Burner, and Fighting Cock.

Finally, touch the majesty of Halong Bay by visiting Thien Cung (Heaven) Cave. Continue to explore the areas of Ba Hang by bamboo rowing boat or kayaking.

Afterwards, drive to Hanoi airport for the flight to Danang. Upon arrival, meet and transfer to Hoi An.

Day 4

HOI AN

In the morning, ride bicycles to Tra Que herb village. Take a stroll around the vegetable garden and join gardening activities. Enjoy some lime juice before having local lunch.

Afterwards, take a walk to explore the picturesque riverside town of Hoi An. Visit the Japanese Covered Bridge and the Sa Huynh Museum. Wander into the Tran Family Chapel, a 200-year old house. Visit Phuoc Kien Assembly Hall, a Chinese pagoda dedicated to Thien Hau, Goddess of the Sea.

Lastly, visit a lantern making workshop.

Day 5

HOI AN > HUE

En route to Hue, stop outside Danang to visit the Marble Mountains: a group of limestone and marble hills filled with caves.

Continue to the city of Danang, briefly passing Non Nuoc Beach and the Cham Museum. Upon arrival of Hue, visit the Imperial Tomb of Tu Duc and browse through Dong Ba Market where you can buy the most special cultural gifts and souvenirs of Thua Thien Hue.

Day 6

HUE > SAIGON

In the morning, take a boat trip to Thien Mu Pagoda, an elegant seven-tiered octagonal tower.

Continue to the Imperial Citadel, a vast complex built in 19th century modeled after the Forbidden City of Beijing.

Then transfer to the airport for your flight to Saigon. Upon arrival, meet and transfer to the hotel for rest.

Day 7

SAIGON

Begin Day 7 with a tour of the historic centre, strolling along Dong Khoi Street to the heart of old colonial Saigon. Pass by the City Hall, Opera House, neo-Romanesque Notre Dame Cathedral and Central Post Office.

Then dive into modern history with a tour of the Reunification Palace. Continue to the War Remnants Museum and Emperor of Jade Pagoda.

After lunch, head out to Cholon (Chinatown). Visit Cha Tam Church and Thien Hau Pagoda. The tour ends with shopping at Ben Thanh Market.

Day 8

SAIGON > PHNOM PENH

The morning is free until your transfer to the airport for the flight to Phnom Penh. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel.

Enjoy the rest of the day on your own.

Day 9

PHNOM PENH > SIEM REAP

Take a city tour with an insight into Cambodia’s cultural heritage with a visit to the Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, also known as Pagoda of the Emerald Buddha.

Continue to the elegant National Museum and explore the modern-day city by visiting the Central Market or the Russian Market.

Afterwards, transfer to airport for flight to Siem Reap. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel for rest.

Day 10

SIEM REAP

Take a full day to explore the attractions of Angkor by visiting the famous Banteay Srei Temple, Banteay Samre, Ta Prohm Temple, Prasat Kravan, Banteay Kdei Temple, Ta Keo, Thommanon, and lastly to a temple to watch the sun set over the Cambodian countryside.

Day 11

DEPART SIEM REAP

In the morning, visit Angkor Wat, the national symbol and the highlights of any visit to Cambodia. Then visit the fortified city of Angkor Thom where includes many of Angkor’s most popular sights.

Continue to the Terrace of Elephants and Terrace of Leper Kings. Visit the ruined Baphuon, Royal Enclosure and Phimeanakas before continuing to the mysterious Bayon Temple.

Afterwards, transfer to the airport for your flight to the next destination: home.
