Seoul & Eastern Korea Itinerary

Day 1

ARRIVE in Seoul

Upon arrival at Incheon International Airport, you will be greeted by our representative at the airport exit. You will then be transferred to your hotel by a local private driver. After your hotel check-in, the rest of the day is free for leisure on your own.

Day 2

Seoul

After breakfast, visit Gwanghwamun Gate, the main gate founded by the first king of the Joseon Dynasty and enjoy the Royal Guard Changing Ceremony. Next, explore Gyeongbokgung Palace (Changdeokgung Palace on Tuesday), which is arguably the most beautiful and the grandest of all five palaces. Don’t forget to visit the National Folk Museum of Korea as well. Then pass by the Blue house, also called Cheong Wa Dae, or the presidential residence.

Afterward, you will visit Insadong-gil, which is connected to a multitude of alleys that lead deeper into the district, with modern galleries and tea shops. You will also visit Jogyesa Temple, the chief temple of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism, established in 1936.

Lastly, head to Myeongdong, one of the busiest places in Seoul.

Day 3

SEOUL > JINJU > BUSAN

After breakfast, meet with your tour guide at hotel lobby who will take you to the first stop of Jinjuseong Fortress which is historically linked to the Japanese invasion in 1592.

Afterward, transfer to Busan and visit Igidae Park where its coastal walking path is famous for its panoramic view of Marine City and Gwangan Bridge.

The rest of the day is free for you to explore Haeundae Beach which is known for its modern feel. Enjoy your evening at cafes and pubs, or enjoy watching busking along the shoreline, or stop by Haeundae Market for some great deals.

After dinner, check into your hotel and spend the rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 4

BUSAN > ULSAN > GYEONGJU

After breakfast, head to Ulsan and pass through the world's largest single automobile plant. Then, visit Daewangam Park, littered with rocks carved into interesting shapes by the wind and ocean.

Next, explore Bulguksa Temple, the representative relic designated as a World Cultural Asset by UNESCO in Gyeongju. Explore the National Gyeongju Museum and Daereungwon Tomb Complex as well.

Before you head to Cheomseongdae Observatory, choose your preferred hanbok (the traditional Korean attire) and create special memories while wearing your hanbok with your companions.

Lunch and dinner will be served en route at local restaurants. After the hotel check in, the rest of the day is free for your leisure.

Day 5

GYEONGJU > ANDONG > WONJU > PYEONGCHANG

After breakfast, transfer to to Andong and visit Andong Hahoe Village, home to descendants of the Ryu clan of Pungsan and well-known for its traditional houses.

Then, transfer to Wonju and visit Hanji Theme Park where you can get a chance to experience the hanji (traditional handmade Korean paper) making process. Then, transfer to Pyeongchang.

Lunch and dinner will be served en route at local restaurants. After the hotel check in, the rest of the day is free for your leisure.

Day 6

PYEONGCHANG > GANGNEUNG > YANGYANG >SEOUL

After breakfast, stop by the Ski Jump Observatory made for the 2018 Winter Olympic Games hosted in Pyeongchang. Then, explore the Jumunjin Seafood Market which includes a variety of fresh seafood caught on Korea’s east coast.

For the next stop, transfer to Yangyang for a short hike at Jujeongol on Mt. Seorak to enjoy the nature. After the tour, transfer to Seoul.

Day 7

DEPART SEOUL

After breakfast, spend some free time around the city before you’re transferred to Incheon International Airport by a local private driver for your flight back home.
