Crater Lake Itinerary

Day 1

Los Angeles > Sequoia National Park > Pleasanton

Leave Los Angeles in the morning and heading to central California’s Sequoia National Park. On the way, you will enjoy seeing a variety of nut and fruit plantations.

Estimated arrival at Sequoia National Park is after lunch. Surrounded in the “World of the Giants,” we will visit the second largest tree in the world — General Grant. The tree has also been proclaimed as “the National’s Christmas Tree.”

Stay overnight in the city of San Jose.

Day 2

Napa Valley > Redwood National Forest > Eureka

Head to San Francisco to visit the world renowned Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman’s Wharf, and Palace of Fine Arts. Experience the low-lying terrain, classical Victorian architecture, and comfortable climate in one of the most popular cities in the United States.

In the morning we head north to the World Famous Wine County: Napa Valley. Marvel at the endless fields of grape vines and wineries, where we will pick a local famous winery for wine tasting and eateries.

Entering into Redwood National Forest after lunch, we enter the “Avenue of the Giants,” massive redwood trees serving as guardians of the forest. Arrive in Eureka at noon and visit the remarkable American Queen Anne-style house, Carson Mansion.

Day 3

Crescent City > Crater Lake > Klamath Falls

We will cruise along the pacific coast, passing Crescent City, and entering the state of Oregon. On the way, enjoy views of lush forests, meadows, and clear creeks.

Arrive at Crater Lake National Park after lunch. Crater Lake National Park is the only national park in the State of Oregon, you will see some of the bluest water in the world, cradled by a unique landscape. This breathtaking lake was developed 7,700 years ago after the collapse of the volcano Mount Mazama, and is 594 meters deep, making it the deepest lake in the United States. Similar to a bright sapphire set in a crater, the lake is surrounded by mountains of serene beauty and magnificent views.

Stay overnight at Klamath Falls City.

Day 4

Mount Shasta > Lake Shasta Caverns > Sundial Bridge > Gilroy

Leaving Klamath Falls city in the morning, we will route back towards California along the World War II Veterans Highway-U.S. 97.

Visit Mountain Shasta Vista Point and head to Lake Shasta Caverns which was formed 200 million years ago by the erosion of flowing water. The entire cave is composed of limestone and features a wide variety of formations, stalagmites, soda straws, and flowstone.

Visit the Sundial glass bridge afternoon, it has been called the largest sundial in the world. Stay overnight at Gilroy, you can visit the Premium Outlets close by as your wish.

Day 5

Roaring Camp > Los Angeles

In the morning heading to the Roaring Camp Railroads in Santa Cruz, where you can travel through the redwood groves to the top of the Bear Mountain by the old-fashion sightseeing train. Enjoy the morning fresh air and cool breeze, the last moment away from the bustle and hustle of the city.

Arrive in LA in the evening.
