Day 1

ARRIVE BEIJING

Your flight lands at Beijing, the capital of China. You are transferred to the hotel for rest and relaxation.

Day 2

BEIJING

The morning program begins with Tian An Men Square: the largest city square in the world.

Then proceed to the Forbidden City: the residence of emperors for more than 500 years, which houses numerous precious artifacts.

After lunch, visit the Summer Palace: a well-preserved Royal Garden of Qing Dynasty.

Day 3

BEIJING

This morning starts on the Badaling Great Wall: a symbol of the Chinese ancient civilization. This 2,000 year old landmark is an astonishing feat of engineering.

En route, visit a Jade carving factory followed by a photo-stop at the Bird’s Nest & Water Cube: Stadiums that were built for the 2008 Olympic Games hosted in Beijing.

Optional Kung Fu show with Peking Duck dinner (US $60 per person).

Day 4

BEIJING

In the morning, visit the Temple of Heaven: the largest temple complexes in China and a paradigm of Chinese architectural balance and symbolism.

After a visit to a pearl factory, take a tour of Hutong by rickshaw with a house visit to explore the real Beijing lifestyle.

Day 5

BEIJING > XIAN

Take a flight to Xian. Upon arrival, enter the Provincial Museum where you can learn 5,000 years of brilliant Chinese history.

Continue to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda: one of the best preserved Buddhist temples in all of China.

Day 6

XIAN

The highlight of the day is a visit to The Museum of Qin Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses: an archaeological dig, excavated from the tomb of the first emperor of the Qin Dynasty.

Then visit the Ceramics & Pottery Center.

At night, enjoy a Dumpling Dinner & Tang Dynasty Show.

Day 7

XIAN > LHASA

In the morning transfer to the airport for the flight to Lhasa. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is free for leisure to acclimate yourself to the high altitude.

Day 8

LHASA

Start the day by visiting the architectural wonder and Lhasa’s main landmark, the Potala Palace.

After exploring this exquisite palace, visit Sera Monastery, which was founded in 1419 by a disciple of Tsongkhapa. The “Buddhism Scriptures Debating” in Sera is very famous.

Day 9

LHASA

Take a full days visit to the most revered religious structure in Tibet: Jokhang Temple, the most sacred temple in Tibet (known as “Buddha’s House” in Tibetan language).

In the afternoon, visit Norbulingka: the summer palace of the Dalai Lama.

Day 10

LHASA > SHANGHAI

This morning, fly to Shanghai via Chengdu. Upon arrival, meet and transfer to hotel to enjoy rest of the day at leisure.

SHANGHAI

Day 11 is a full day city tour to visit:

  • the Yu Garden: a place of peace and comfort in the heart of bustling Shanghai,

  • the Bund: known as a miniature museum of international architecture with dozens of high buildings standing along the shore,

  • Shanghai Museum: one of the largest Museums in China, and

  • the Xintiandi & Pudong New Development Zone.

Optional Acrobatic Show with dinner US$60 per person.

SHANGHAI > SUZHOU > SHANGHAI

This day’s excursion is to the water town of Suzhou. The city’s canals, stone bridges, pagodas and meticulously designed gardens have contributed to its status as one of the top tourist attraction in China.

Tour the Garden of Net Master: the smallest, but the most impressive classic garden in Suzhou. Cruise on the Grand Canal, shop at the silk-spinning factory and the Pingjiang Road Old Town Area.

DEPART SHANGHAI

Transfer to the airport and take your flight back home.
